A Message from Sorin, Founder of Sorin’s Hair Studio

At Sorin’s Hair Studio, I believe that hard work, passion, and a commitment to making people feel great about themselves are the true keys to success. When clients leave feeling confident, happy, and excited to return, I know I’ve done my job well.

My philosophy is simple: the secret to beautiful hair lies in enhancing what you naturally have—not masking it with overpowering colour or extreme cuts. Subtlety, creativity, and precision are what truly bring out each person’s unique beauty.

My love for hair began when I was just seven years old. By the time I finished school at 18, I knew hairstyling was my dream career. Though my path wasn’t traditional and my parents weren’t initially supportive, I never gave up. At age 37, I invested all my savings to begin my journey—commuting from Salisbury to London five days a week for 32 weeks of intensive training.

After earning my NVQ Level 4 with Distinction in cutting and colouring, I gained valuable salon experience in Basingstoke. Even then, my thirst for knowledge pushed me to attend additional creative classes in London every week after work.

My professional journey has taken me through world-renowned academies such as Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, and L’Oréal Professionnel in London. I was honoured to be selected as part of a breakthrough artistic team, working alongside some of the most talented stylists and colour technicians in the industry.

Eventually, I chose to build my own brand and vision here in the beautiful city of Salisbury. Sorin’s Hair Studio is the result of years of dedication, creativity, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

I’ve been privileged to work with private celebrity clients (but confidentiality is key—so shhh…) and was proud to be a finalist at the British Hairdressing Awards.

If you haven’t guessed already—I absolutely love what I do. My passion for hair only grows stronger with time, and I feel incredibly lucky to have a career that brings me joy every single day.

Professional Training & Education

I completed 32 weeks of intensive training in London and earned my NVQ Level 4 with Distinction in Cutting and Colouring. While gaining hands-on experience working in Basingstoke, I continued traveling weekly to London for advanced creative courses, constantly refining my skills.
